Reference Librarian III – Tenure Track
Rutgers Law School is seeking a reference librarian for our Camden, NJ Campus. Reference Librarians provide legal reference services to the students and faculty of the law school, the University community, and the public. This includes classroom instruction, including participation in teaching Advanced Legal Research or similar courses. Reference librarians participate in the faculty liaison program. Staffing the reference desk, including some evening and weekend hours.
This position will also involve some administrative responsibility.
This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position which requires scholarship and service. Candidates must have a J.D. from an A.B.A. accredited law school or a foreign equivalent, and MLS from an ALA approved program, or equivalent graduate degree.
Strong knowledge of legal information sources; excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills; ability to work with a variety of people; strong service ethic. Previous experience as a reference librarian working in law libraries is preferred, but not required.
