Assistant Director for Digital Services

The Assistant Director will:  

  • Serve as liaison with Lexis and Westlaw representatives
  • Work with IT personnel on pertinent issues
  • Assist faculty with online learning platforms including Canvas and TWEN
  • Assist faculty with online dissemination of scholarly publications including via SSRN
  •  Teach Legal Research (a 2 credit graded course)
  • Provide reference services to law students and faculty, University students and faculty, and public patrons
  • Do occasional cataloging and maintain collection statistics; serve as a liaison with the main library on online catalog issues
  • Participate in collection development decisions 
  • Manage the library’s online archive of state appellate briefs
  • Serve on law school committees as assigned by the Dean of the College of Law
  • Represent the Library and/or College of Law in the greater university and in the profession as appropriate. 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution 
  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school  
  • Strong academic record
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Excellent communication skills  
  • Legal reference experience and familiarity with the LibGuides platform are preferred.
