Educational Technology Librarian

Description

The Educational Technology Librarian will serve as the law library liaison for the Law Tech and Policy Center and be responsible for identifying technology developments in the legal field and related to the practice of law. This includes providing advanced technology training for law school faculty, students, and staff, coordinating with librarians, IT, and other staff to develop projects related to emerging legal resources and technologies, and teaching students common desktop technologies.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills, a demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and a familiarity with and understanding of emerging technologies. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to meet deadlines and work well in a collaborative environment to achieve common goals. The candidate will be able to develop productive working relationships and work effectively as a team member as well as independently. Some teaching/training experience is required.

The successful candidate will have an MLS or MLIS from an ALA-accredited institution and/or Juris Doctor (preferred) from an ABA-approved law school. A minimum of two years’ experience in an academic, court or law firm library and a demonstrated record of working with emerging legal technologies are required.
